I’ve had the pleasure of testing out the Yamaha plus mini for the last month. It was the soundtrack to our Christmas and New Years. It’s been used by all of us except the toddler on a daily basis. It’s on while we cook, its on while we play and it was on while we celebrated.
There is no time visible, it is sleek and sexy. The mini is purely designed for the best sound to be amplified and accessed from anywhere in your home.
MusicCast apps were installed on our phones, ipods and laptop. Everyone had bluetooth connection to the Mini and could access their playlists at any time. Radio is no problem as you can also listen to internet AM/FM radio though the MusicCast app. You can hear all the music sources from your smartphone via the Wi-Fi connection. You have the option to play music from music apps, radio apps, or YouTube™-type video hosting services. I had Pandora on all day where as my husband and kids loved their playlists.
Now, If you want additional cinematic or concert experience, you can pair two of the mini’s together and be completely surrounded by sound. Two Plus Mini units can be paired via the MusicCast app to function as left and right channel speakers, providing stereo sound for a wider listening area.

The Plus Mini comes in black and white to match your decor and is nice and small so it can fit easily in any room. It can also be wall mounted easily.
Overall I found both the system and the MusicCast app easy to use and it fit in our home nicely.
