Here at Bargain Mum we love any excuse to buy stationary supplies. We have three boys in our household. Our toddler doesn’t really need his own work space just yet but our 9 year old and 13 year old both have their own zones to study in.
If your children are anything like mine, their assessments pop up pretty suddenly because they conveniently forgot about them and decided to play soccer outside instead. And especially in High School their homework is constant. I find it essential that we are stocked up with what we need for those 9pm, night before “oh Mum I have an assignment due tomorrow” declarations.
It is no secret that we are kind of addicted to Officeworks. They have the lowest prices around and are bursting with all the study essentials. It is also really important for me to be able to do a one stop shop. Battling between school pick up/drop off and a napping toddler, our local Officeworks is only a few km’s up the road. Super easy!
We have two Officeworks desks in our home. The Sorrento (which you can read about here) and this awesome corner desk I bought on clearance a while back. As we had the desk sorted, one of our main goals this trip was to find the perfect chair.
Piccolo Student Chair come on down! At $25 it is great value for money. It comes in 3 colours (Black, Purple and Blue) and fits perfect with our highschoolers all black stationary and decor. Apparently for teenagers, black is the colour until they create something darker. The chair is phenomenally easy to set up and super light to carry and move around.
Our second goal was to get a printer. We wanted something easy enough for my 13 year old to use. And me to be honest. I don’t have the time or brain space to be worrying about super complicated devices. My son is always needing to print off a million different essays and information so at $59, the Epson XP235 Inkjet printer was just what we were looking for. With its wireless capability, it is perfect for printing from almost any device. We have loaded it with Keji A4 White paper ready for his next project.
We found all the basics; sharpies, pens, and paper to help fill their desks. My toddler couldn’t help himself but draw with the sharpies and totally felt like his brother sitting at his desk. Setting up an affordable study space has never been easier.
Head in store or online and see what affordable pieces you can add to your home and don’t forget that Officeworks will beat any advertised price by 5%.
